4th Edition - year 2017
That's right, we don't have a 2016 edition. It was a difficult year. Many things happened, complications that don't need to be mentioned here, but something beautiful did happen. The ensembles from San Martín de los Andes and Junín de los Andes (who had participated in all the editions) organized themselves to travel to another festival, since they got the bug (as they say in Argentina) and didn't want to miss the opportunity to continue showing their work. That's why they asked me to travel with them to the 5th edition of the Perusax festival, which, as the name suggests, takes place in Peru. Participation in this festival and other events that we held with this beautiful group from the Neuquén mountain range, gave rise to the current format of the event, and this 4th edition - 2017 - is taking place for the first time in another town and another province of the Patagonian region. The meeting begins to travel once a year to a different province in the region.

A proposal that is transforming organically
In this edition we had activities from local teachers and lots of music and spaces to play. Among the teachers we had Alejandro Aranda, with information on harmony in jazz and Maximiliano Hildebrandt working on the technique of jazz phrases for all instruments.
But we also added the kitchen, Ariel Sarbioli, a chef who is a friend of Saxofón Patagónico, dedicated exclusively to lunches.
